Eater of Worlds is boss #3 of 33 in our Terraria 1.4.5 order (main boss 3 of 18). Summon: Use Worm Food in the Corruption, or break three Shadow Orbs. HP: 10,050 Classic / 15,120 Expert / 19,296 Master; base defense 4. Key drops: Shadow Scale, Demonite Ore, Eater's Bone and Worm Scarf. Beating it unlocks Shadow Scales for Shadow armor and the Nightmare Pickaxe, and the Tavernkeep can now be found. Fight it after Eye of Cthulhu and before Brain of Cthulhu.
