Pre-Hardmode: class setups (1.4.5)
Pre-Hardmode in Terraria 1.4.5 runs from the start of a new world to Wall of Flesh. Our picks: melee Night's Edge in Molten armor; ranged Phoenix Blaster in Necro armor; mage Water Bolt in Meteor armor; summoner Imp Staff in Bee armor. From your first day to the Wall of Flesh: copper tools, the first ores, the evil biome boss, the Dungeon and the Underworld.

| Class | Weapons | Armor | Accessories |

| Meteor armor | |||
| Bee armor |
Melee: Night's Edge is the classic pre-Hardmode melee goal; its full tree is on our crafting-tree page.
Ranged: The Minishark from the Arms Dealer plus Meteor Shots or Silver Bullets carries you to the Wall of Flesh.
Mage: With the full Meteor armor set the Space Gun costs no mana, which makes it the easiest early mage weapon.
Summoner: Bee armor and the Hornet Staff come from Queen Bee materials, so beat her before Skeletron.
The boss that ends this stage: Wall of Flesh. Next stage: Early Hardmode (pre-mechanical bosses).
